This amazing children's picture book is based on Kossula's memories of his life in his beloved West African village. 

The book will take young readers on an exciting journey. They will learn various facts about the young warrior, Kossula, and his life in West Africa.

Kossula and 109 of his fellow African were smuggled into America on The Clotilda into Mobile, Alabama. After Emancipation, the Freed Africans purchased a plot of land and created their own self-sufficient community, which is now called Africatown.

Ten percent of all the proceeds from this book will be donated to Africatown's non-profit organizations.
